DIMAPUR: Mokokchung District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) on Thursday approved grant for Impur Christian Hospital. According to a DIPR report, this was decided at the DPDB meeting for the month of March and April held in the conference hall of the ADC (Planning).
The report stated that the matter would be forwarded to the next financial of 2022-2023 by the chairman of the board, minister for PWD (Housing & Mechanical), Tongpang Ozüküm.
At the meeting, PowerPoint presentations were given by Medical department on “Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana” and district agriculture officer on “PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi” in focus to their implementation initiatives of the project in the district.
The district sports officer also briefed the house on “Khelo India”, a central initiative project to be implemented in the district (state).
After thorough deliberation, the house approved the following schools for upgradation: Langpangkong Tzukong Government High School, Chuchuyimlang to Higher Secondary School with Science stream; R.C Chiten Jamir Memorial GHS, Changtongya to Higher Secondary Level Arts Stream and proposal for running of Kinder Garden School at Mangmetong village.
The meeting also approved upgradation of VHC to Veterinary Dispensary at Moalenden under Longsa jurisdiction.
Meanwhile, registration of Language Translation Centre Society and augmentation of resource outlet was presented by Fazl Ali College.
The house expected the Medical department to present a thorough report on Ayushman Bharat Pradhan mantra Jan Arogya Yojana Project implementation in the next DPDB meeting.
Tongpang also informed the house on the ensuing 22nd edition of Dr. T. Ao Football Tournament which would be held in Mokokchung from April 18-29.
He advised the departments to extend their cooperation for the success of the tournament.
In this regard, the DC also proposed the house to conduct a mass social work on April 16 and Mokokchung Municipality Area.
He also called upon every member present in the meeting to do away with one-time use plastics in any occasions.
During the meeting, the minister on behalf of the DPDB welcomed the new DC & vice chairman DPDB Mokokchung, Shashank Pratap Singh.
Earlier, last DPDB meeting agendas held on February 24 were also reviewed.
