CNSA’s 4th general conference on April 18

The two-day, 4th general conference of Central Nagaland Students’ Association (CNSA) will be held on April 18 and 19 at 4th Mile Agri-Expo Dimapur.
Addressing media persons with regard to the conference, CNSA president Himato Yeptho said that the event will be held under the theme “Beyond Boundaries”.
He said CNSA earlier known as SARK – a conglomeration of Ao, Kyong, Rengma and Sumi, was formed in 2010 with a vision to uphold unity and fraternity among the four tribes.
However, Rengma brothers opted out since their parent body was under the Tseminyu union. Following, which the nomenclature of SARK was changed to CNSA, Himato said. He said that at its 3rd annual conference held in Kohima it was decided to hold the 4th conference in Dimapur. Organizing committee, convener S Zhevihe Sümi said that generally events were conducted at the respective tribal units, however Dimapur being the metropolitan city and as endorsed during the 3rd annual conference, they have decided to hold the event in Dimapur.
The inaugural session will be graced by deputy chief minister, Home, R&B, Y Patton as chief guest, Imkong L Imchen, MLA as special guest and minister of Agriculture Kaito Aye as special guest for introductory session. Valedictory session will be graced by minister of Higher Education and Tribal Affairs Temjen Imna Along as special guest and retd. director Higher Education Dr I Anungla Aier as theme speaker.
