The newly upgraded Government High School (GHS) at Beisumpuikam, Peren was inaugurated on April 14 by advisor Water Resources, Namri Nchang after a dedicatory prayer by pastor of PBC, Hanggam Disuang.
According to DIPR report, the advisor in his inaugural address, described it as a red-letter day for the people from the village as well as for the entire district.
Expressing happiness to the chief minister and advisor for School Education for fulfilling the long needs of the people, Nchang urged the people to continue to extend cooperation to the Government to achieve more developmental activities and also utilise the school wisely in all front especially in providing correct data.
The advisor also said that funds for construction of school auditorium hall have also been sanctioned.
Addl. Director, School Education (Planning), Temjen, who also spoke on the occasion appealed to the village and school authority to approach the department through the elected MLA for availing the infrastructure. He requested the locals and concerned officials to consider the newly upgraded school as their own belongings. Further, he encouraged the school staff members to perform their duty wholeheartedly.
Short speeches were also delivered by NZPO president, Kevipelie Iheilung; Retd. Sr. SDEO, Ramdi Thou; retd. director IPR, Pausui Zeliang; retd. Sr. SP, Iheirei Ndang; former Speaker NLA, Neiba Ndang and DC Peren, Sentiwapang Aier.
The school report was presented by GHS Beisumpuikam Head Teacher, Niumai Witingthuiliw and vote of thanks by ADEO Peren, Limayangla Tzudir.
