Nükmen Baptist Church (NBC), Darogapathar has initiated a prayer programme for global peace with emphasize on the conflict between Russia and Ukraine under the theme “Restoration of peace”.
At the programme, pastor Kilang Longkumer in his short message called upon the church to live up to its name by being the “light and salt” of the world and participate proactively in peace-making as “Christ himself is the Prince of Peace (Matt. 6:13-16; Eph. 2:14)”.
Later, an earnest and solemn mass prayer was held for global peace.
NBC has called upon all citizens irrespective of class and region to pray for peace to prevail at this time of conflict.
