Dimapur Excise seize IMFL; arrest 2

Dimapur district Excise duty party seized 117 cases of assorted Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) on April 16 and arrested two persons.
In a press release, superintendent of Excise & Prohibition informed that duty party manning Newfield check-gate intercepted a goods carrier truck (MN-04A-9066) bound for Imphal, Manipur. On frisking the vehicle, the superintendent said 117 cases of assorted IMFL, concealed under furniture items, household commodities and salt, was recovered.
In this connection, two persons namely, Huidrom Mangal Singh (25), son of HuidromIbocha Singh, resident of Thoubal, Manipur and Naoram Dolarasana Meitei (22) son of Naoram Boy Meitei, resident of Chairel Makha Leitai, Manipur were arrested and booked under relevant sections of NLTP Act 1989.
The superintendent informed that further investigation has revealed that the contraband IMFL was loaded from Nalapara Guwahati, Assam and was bound for Imphal, Manipur.
