IMCT visits Zunheboto to assess drought

Inter-Ministerial Central Team (IMCT) on Thursday, visited Zunheboto district for assessment of drought during Kharif and Rabi.
According to a DIPR report, during the team’s visit, the departments of Agriculture, Fisheries, Soil & Water Conservation and PHED gave PowerPoint presentations on the steps they took during the drought-like situation in the district.
The team assessed and inquired on how the departments handled the situation.
The IMC team was led by joint director, DJD Kolkata Dr. Kintu Das, Vijay KR Teotia, regional director Fisheries and deputy director, Expenditure, Finance Commission Division, Mahesh Kumar.
The IMCT team was accompanied by AM(T&E) NSDMA Home, Khrolou Koza Lohe, AM(R&P) NSDMA Home Temsuwangshi and various nodal liaison officers.
The visiting team later visited Zungti village and Shiyepu village, and departed for Mokokchung district.
