Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP), Mokokchung region president, N Bendang Jamir inaugurated NDPP 24 A/C treasurer’s office at Sungkomen Ward, here on Friday.
In his speech, guest of honour, Jamir said “unification of independent party and NDPP” would be a reckoning force in 24 A/C against any opposing foe in the upcoming elections. Stating that they were now together “in the NDPP fold”, Jamir urged upon 24 A/C party leaders to work with understanding, cooperation and responsibility for the upliftment of the people.
The programme was chaired by NDPP 24 A/C general secretary, I Lanumeren, welcome address was delivered by NDPP 24 A/C president, Nungshimangyang while a short acceptance speech was delivered by treasurer Alemmeren.
Later, invocation was offered by SBC pastor, Rev. O Yashi and benediction by NDPP women organisation president, Arenla Pongen.
During the programme, a flag hoisting ceremony was also held.
