Workshop on electricityusage awareness held in Peren

Commemorating 75th Anniversary of Peren township, a workshop on “Electricity Usage Awareness” was held in the Peren town hall with SDO (Elect.) Peren, Er. Kidosap and junior engineer, Er. Solo Rengma as resource persons on Thursday.
According to a DIPR report, Solo who spoke on the conservation of energy said energy could be converted in form but could not be created or destroyed.
He informed that conventional energy sources polluted the environment by emitting harmful gases into the atmosphere, therefore, he said, the use of it should be cut short in all possible ways.
Solo also added that energy requires to be conserved in order to preserve the resources for longer use even in the aspects of its running cost.
He spoke on the importance of electricity and generation of electricity and how to help conserve energy through the use of electricity.
Meanwhile, Kidosap said lack of safety led to electric shock resulting in severe injury and also death.
He spoke on the safety of electricity and shared important points on preventing electricity shock and its factors which determined electric shock and importance of ground wire and how to prevent injuries and accidental death.
