Water supply disruption in Kohima due to pipeline damage

DIMAPUR

Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) has reported significant damage to the main water supply pipeline in Forest Colony, Kohima, near the road leading to Kohima Science College. Leakage inside a retaining wall has affected the pipeline, prompting urgent repair work.
According to Executive Engineer Neilhoukholie Chielie, the damaged section is substantial, and manual excavation has already been carried out to locate the exact source of the leakage. Restoration efforts are expected to take about a week.
In this connection, residents in affected areas have been urged to bear with the temporary inconvenience, as the department assures that all possible measures are being taken to complete repairs as soon as possible.
