Commemorating eight years of prime minister, Narendra Modi government, state Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has been conducting various programmes across the state, from June 1-15 under the slogan, “Seva, Sushasan and Gareeb Kalyan”.
Minister for Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Jacob Zhimomi highlighted programmes and policies of the central government at a press conference at district BJP office, here, on Saturday.
The minister lauded the performance of the prime minister and claimed that the PM was adjudged the most prominent, committed and popular in terms of development across the globe.
Jacob highlighted various schemes and programmes including—Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (urban and rural), Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojna, Poshan Abhiyan, Jal Jeevan Mission, Amrit Yojna etc. He informed that the PM launched welfare schemes for people, ensuring food security under PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana providing free food grains to more than 80 crore Indians.
Under health care and pandemic management, he said over 190 crore free vaccine doses were administered in 477 days, which he said, was a landmark achievement. The minister also highlighted medical coverage scheme “Ayushman Bharat Yojana” for which more than 18 crore Ayushman cards has been issued. He also informed about “Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) to ensure access to quality medicines to all sections of the population especially the poor.
The minister also highlighted on the sanctioned under PM Awas Yojana (Urban); (Rural); toilets constructed under Swachh Bharat Mission; crore new houses provided tap water connection under Har Ghar Nal Se Jal Yojana, PM Svanidhi Yojana, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, PM Fasal Bima Yojana, initiative undertaken for youth-led development such as National Education Policy 2020, training for PM Kaushal Vikas Yojana, PM Ujjwala Yojana and PM Mudra Yojana etc.
BJP Mokokchung: Celebrating eight years of prime minister Narendra Modi’s leadership under the slogan “saab ka saath, saab ka vikas”, BJP 24 Angetyongpang mandal under its president Imtichizung Ozukum, state council member Imnakika and BJP district executive Y. O. Bendang Ozukum led the “karyakartas” in cleaning the cemetery at Longkong village on June 3.
In a press release, BJP Mokokchung district media cell informed the 12 units of 24 Angetyongpang mandal carried our works in their respective areas.
Meanwhile, 26 Aonglenden mandal led by president Taliwati Pongen and general secretary Kilemsungba Longkumer conducted a cleanliness drive at PHC Ungma while Yuva morcha, minority morcha and ST morcha, BJP Mokokchung district jointly undertook a cleanliness drive at IMDH, Mokokchung and cleaned the Dr. Imkongliba Memorial Park in the hospital complex.
Similarly, Kisan morcha, Mahila morcha, ex-servicemen and district party members carried out a mass plantation drive in and around Mokokchung town.
