DDTF holds meeting on IMI

Dimapur District Task Force (DDTF) held a meeting on first round Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI) on September 26, at the conference hall of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dimapur.
During the meeting, DPO, UIP-RCH, Dr. Lanuakum, gave a power point presentation on program implementation of Immunization and IMI in the country. 
He stated that every third child in India was either partially vaccinated or unvaccinated and therefore IMI has been initiated to immunize all children upto to 2 years and all pregnant mothers. 
Dr. Lanuakum informed that IMI was implemented only in selected high risk areas, hard to reach places and poor immunization coverage areas. He said the activities would be more intensified this year and will cover more areas than previous years.
UNDP project officer, Imli, also updated the members on eVIN and informed the members on the ongoing process of installing temperature loggers on ILRS in all the Cold Chain Points (CCP) and deep freezer at district vaccine store to ensure that temperature is maintained at all CCPs at the recommended range; thereby guaranteeing that the vaccines given are potent and safe. 
The meeting was chaired by SDO (civil) Zakabo Rotokha.
The programme was attended by District hospital Dimapur medical superintendent Dr. C.W. Tungoe, DEO R. Amongla and other stakeholders of the various department; administration, social welfare, education, DPRO, UNDP, DMC, IDSP, and Rotary Club Dimapur.
