One day faculty development programme on innovative teaching methods & ICT in teaching-learning process was conducted by Internal Quality Assessment Committee (IQAC) of Mount Tiyi College (MTC) Wokha on September 26.
A press statement by MTC Wokha stated that the resource persons for the programme were SCTE Kohima assistant professor, Dr. Bendangyapangla and SET, NU, Dimapur campus, assistant professor, Sourav Hazarika.
During the first session, Dr. Bendangyapangla gave a presentation on the topic “innovative teaching practices” and highlighted the major factors that affect learners.
In the second session on “ICT in teaching-learning process”, Sourav Hazarika discussed the various uses of ICT in classrooms and how to incorporate it in developing modern pedagogy.
The sessions were moderated by HoD of Education, Sentimenla Jamir and HoD of Economics, Dr. K.Z. Ovung respectively.
The rapporteur for the sessions was assistant professor of political science, Narotila Imchen; the programme was chaired by assistant professor of Education, Azhanuo Peki, MTC Wokha principal delivered the welcome address, certificates were given to participants by associate professor and IQAC coordinator, Meripeni Ngully while vote of thanks was delivered by MTC Wokha vice principal, Amos Ovung.
