Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation (ENPO) and Kohima Longjang Senso Telongjem (KLST) felicitated the toppers of HSLC and HSSLC 2022 at the separate functions held at Kohima on Sunday
Six toppers in the recently conducted HSLC and HSSLC examination 2022 were feliciated at the first edition of ENPO Meritorious Award 2022.
They received a cash awards and citation. Giving a brief highlight of the Y. Mangko Trust (first edition), Dr M Longai son of Y. Mangko said that the trust was based under “Passion for Education”.
He also highlighted the background of his father, who graduated in 1968 from Fazl Ali College (NEHU) and entered into politics for social change. He was also the ENPO president for two terms and voiced out during the statehood demand.
Member of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, C L John in his brief speech encouraged the students to be consistent and humble and urged them to work harder to succeed in life.
The award ceremony chaired by ENPO, general secretary, Manlang Phom began with an invocation by pastor, TBCK, Y.T. Tsenthong Tikhir.
The presentation of awards was carried out by ENPO president, R. Tsapikiu Sangtam and a blessing for the awardees and benediction was offered by pastor, KBCK, Rev N. Pomo Khiamniungan.
The list of the awardess were: Sangyuchenla Chang HSLC 2022, Top 9 (Rs 20,000); Lirola T Sangtam HSLC 2022, Top 11 (Rs 15,000); Buben Khamnon Chang HSLC 2022 (Top 12, Rs 15,000); Yingmei M Konyak HSLC 2022, Top 20 (Rs 15,000); Ngamjong JN Yanlem HSSL C, 2022, Top 1 (Science) (Rs 25,000) and Dorela Jangru HSSLC 2022, Top 6 (Arts, ) (Rs 20,000).
KLST jubilee memorial education award
11 toppers of HSLC 2022 were handed cash awards at the KLST Jubilee Memorial Education Merit Award 2022 felicitation programme for HSLC 2022 Topper held at the KLST Yim Ki, Agri Forest Colony Kohima.
Speaking on the theme, ‘Nukjidong Tongtetba Shisaluyimer’ (Learners or students achieving their target), senior Technical Director and State Information Officer, NIC, Ministry of E & IT, Er. Lanusungkum Aier said that the theme was not only for the students but for every person as it disciplines individual to achieve planned goals. He lauded the successful students and encouraged them to work harder and to not lose the momentum in their studies. He also encouraged them to plan and schedule their daily routine so that it becomes a habit.
HSLC 2022, topper Meyasenla Longchar from Lima Aier Higher Secondary School, Dimapur who secured the 13 position delivered short speech.
The programme was chaired by Amenla Sani, while the welcome address was delivered by president KLST, Aomeren Imchen.
