Apex bodies under 33 Suruhuto-Asuto area comprising of Suruhuto Area Kukami Hoho (SAKH), Suruhuto Range Students’ Union (SRSU), Church Leader fellowship (CLF), 29 Village Council Chairmen and Suruhuto Asuto Village Development Board Association (SAVDBA) held a meeting on September 15 at RD block VDB conference hall, Suruhuto town and adopted several resolutions for “clean election”.
A press note by Suruhuto/Asuto VDB association president, Z. Tokhevi and secretary, Kahuto Awomi, stated that the apex body committee has resolved to hold a common platform for all intending candidates of 33 Suruhuto-Asuto for the ensuing assembly elections 2018 wherein all candidates would be given a common platform to address the public.
The meeting also resolved not to allow and to strictly ban election camp of individual or political party; to abolish coup system in the particular village and to take serious and necessary action against the defaulting village, the meeting resolved to prohibit usage of alcohol, drugs.
