Lions Club of Dimapur celebrate 50yrs in Dimapur

Lions Club of Dimapur (LCD) observed 50 years of its charter here Sunday, at its centre in Dimapur with former international director, Lion Raju V Manwani as chief guest invitee.
Addressing the gathering, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dimapur Sachin Jaiswal lauded the club for their contribution towards the society through various activities and remarked how an organisation could take the society and the state forward towards nation building. He also remembered the pioneers who contributed towards the formation of the club and later assured future collaborations on behalf of the district administration.
Speaking at the occasion, chief guest in his speech lauded and saluted the club for their immense contribution. He also highlighted about Lions club international covering over 210 countries. He encouraged the gathering to be ready to learn and also focussed on proper management and utilisation of time. Manwani also talked about utilising social media as a platform to spread knowledge and create awareness.
Addressing the gathering, LCD president, lion Vikash Maheswari stated that the journey has been an amazing and immense given the pioneers have built a strong foundation. Maheswari stated that LCD has done justice to its motto by conducting various activities in the state which would not have been made possible without the support of the citizens of Dimapur.
He informed that the motto this year for the club is “Rejuvenated and revitalize” for which he said that the club will continue to work for the progress of the people and thereby seek for everyone cooperation and support.
The programme was attended by all the Lion members, District governor Lion Rima Sharma Barwa and past district lion Lalita R Khandaria.
