Heavy rain likely to continue in NE

As the southwest monsoon continues to advance, Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday issued a heavy rain warning for several states.
According to the weather department, the current spell of intense rain will continue over North East India and sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim for the next 24 hours.
Thunderstorm activity accompanied by isolated heavy showers are also likely to continue throughout north, central and east India during next two to three days. According to IMD, widespread rainfall with isolated heavy to heavy rainfall is likely over the North East India and sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.
