Chakhesang Mothers’ Association organises basket making training

With an objective to skill the girls and mothers on basket making and facilitate them to focus on commercial production, Chakhesang Mothers’ Association (CMA) organised a basket making training programme for women at Pfütsero, under Phek district, June 18.
The training programme was sponsored by Women Resource Development, government of Nagaland, on the theme “empowering women through self-sustenance.”
Launching the training, Pfütsero EAC, Dr. Riku Khutso encouraged that women to promote the use of basket for shopping instead of using one-time use plastics as it was also aimed at replacing one-time use plastic in the district.
Altogether, 60 women participated in the training programme.
The programme was led by CMA president, Zhonelii Tunyi.
