Chang Students’ Conference temporarily suspends protest

Chang Students’ Conference (CWS), which launched protest over the issue of land acquisition for re-location of Institute for Education and Training (DIET) in Tuensang district, has temporarily suspended the ongoing indefinite agitation w.e.f. June 22.
CSC president C Pongsu and general secretary Ebou Naset said they decided to suspend the agitation after considering the approval letter from the commissioner’s office. CSC, however, appealed to the government to implement its demand on or before July 15. Failing which, CWS said it would resume the suspended agitation.
