Seized drugs worth Rs. 2.80 cr destroyed in Phek

Drugs, narcotics and psychotropic/control substances seized under NDPS Act and produced before the Phek court, were destroyed at Phek Town Council dumping site on Friday.
According to a DIPR report, the drugs, worth around Rs. 2.80 crore were destroyed in the presence of judicial magistrate first class Phek, representatives from district administration, police, APP court Phek, DB and PI staff. Later, a short briefing was organised at the site, in commemoration of International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking”, where district session judge, Mezivolu T. Therieh delivered a speech.
