Inter-school spell bee competition conducted in Dimapur

Dorians Society, Dimapur organised its first district level inter-school Spell Bee competition at DBIDL Building, Don Bosco Higher Secondary School (DBHSS), here, on Saturday.
A total of 26 schools under Dimapur district with two participants from each school took part in the competition.
In the competition, C Tekalong Lusang from Liz Woodland School bagged the first prize while Md Marzaqur Rahman from Christian Higher Secondary School and Manchem Chang from St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School bagged the second and third prizes respectively.
Judges for the competition were assistant professor, Livingstone Foundation International, Imolangla Pongen, teacher, Hope Academy, Toshijungla Lemtur and former journalist, Yupangnenla Longkumer while pronouncers for the event were Parinita Debnath and Chumchano.
Earlier, convener, Spell Bee organising committee, Dorians Society Dimapur, Imti Longchar proposed vote of thanks.
The first, second and third runner-up were awarded with cash prizes of Rs. 5000, Rs. 3000 and Rs. 2000 respectively along with certificates, while the participants received certificates.
