DEO, SMDC Salomi GHS reject RPP claim

District Education Officer (DEO) Kiphire and School Management and Development Committee (SMDC) of Government High School (GHS) Salomi have rejected as “baseless” the claim of the Rising People’s Party (RPP) concerning the poor condition of GHS building at Solumi under Kiphire district.
In a press release, DEO Kiphire Deenabandhu Panda clarified that the school building of GHS Salomi, which was shown in the newspaper was the old building before new building came up. DEO Kiphire stated that RPP’s claim was “baseless without ascertaining the fact.” DEO further certified that the building of primary section at GHS Salomi was constructed by Aspirational fund during 2020-21 which was funded by NEC and verified by engineer from NEC.
DEO stated that the same building was inaugurated by NLA deputy speaker T Yangseo Sangtam on November 15, 2021. DEO stated that another building was constructed by RMSA for high school section in the year 2017-19 and inaugurated by then principal director on November 5, 2019.
DEO stated that the school was running smoothly in those two buildings.
SMDC Salomi GHS: School Management and Development Committee (SMDC) of Government High School Salomi also clarified that the school building of GHS Salomi shown in the newspaper was the old building before new building came up.
In a press note, SMDC GHS Salomi chairman Rampratap Maurya and secretary P Sheamla stated that RPP claim was “totally baseless” and was published without ascertaining the fact. The committee stated that the school was running smoothly in the new school building.
