Assam Rifles (AR) under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) conducted various activities in the month of July.
Kohima Battalion: In observance of National Doctors’ Day, Kohima battalion on July 1 felicitated doctors from Naga Hospital Authority Kohima, Oking Hospital, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Nagaland, and District Immunisation Officer (DIO), for their relentless service.
Kiphire Battalion: Kiphire battalion on June 30 organised awareness cum registration campaign for the forthcoming ‘Assam Rifles Technical and Tradesmen Recruitment Rally 2022’ at Zisaji Presidency College, Kiphire. Aim of the campaign was to give wide publicity among locals and encourage youths to join Assam Rifles through various technical and tradesmen posts.
Mokokchung Battalion: Mokokchung battalion celebrated its 37th Raising Day on July 1. To commemorate the occasion, the battalion paid tributes to fallen brave hearts by laying wreaths at War Memorial.
A ‘motivational hall’ named after ‘Rfn’ Ramendra Singh who was martyred in Jammu & Kashmir was also inaugurated during the occasion.
