Zunheboto battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) in collaboration with Tuensang district authorities conducted a seminar on “Drug Abuse: Awareness and Prevention” at Longkhim under Tuensang district on July 2.
According to PRO IGAR (N), the purpose of the programme was to raise awareness about the effects of drugs.
At the programme, the community was sensitised on the medical, legal, psychological and security aspects associated with drug abuse. Speakers from the district administration encouraged the youth to support law enforcement initiatives and refrain from using drugs.
The programme was attended by around 500 participants of the area. Meanwhile, the youth were also made aware of Agnipath scheme.
