Nagaland State handloom expo inaugurated

State Handloom Expo organised by Nagaland handloom & handicrafts development corporation (NHHDC) Ltd. and sponsored by office of the development commissioner (handloom), ministry of Textiles was inaugurated by NHHDC managing director, Zakabo V Rotokha on Friday.
In a press release, NHHDC informed that the objective of the exhibition was to develop and promote marketing channels in domestic and export markets and bring linkage between the two in a holistic and integrated manner.
It is also aimed at providing marketing opportunities to handloom workers with special focus on talented and uncovered weavers, NHHDC informed.
Altogether, 60 participants from Nagaland, Assam, Manipur, West Bengal, and Uttar Pradesh are exhibiting varieties of handloom products.
It may be mentioned that the handloom expo would culminate on July 28.
