Zeliang Students’ Union (ZLSU) Nagaland has requested the department of power to “execute their duty responsively without laxity and ensure a regular power supply in the district immediately”.
In a press release, ZLSU Nagaland media cell said prolonged irregular power supply in Peren district since the onset of the monsoon has affected and inhibited the normal activities of the people in voluminous ways.
Zeliang Students’ Union claimed that the current status of the power supply in the district was not even 4-5 hours a day and cited instances where power supply was completely snapped off for 2-3 days.
In this regard, the union has urged the concern department to immediately ensure regular power supply.
