Dimapur Ao Youth Organisation (DAYO) and Ao Students’ Dimapur Union (ASUD) will be organizing painting competition and poetry slam on August 4 at Cornerstone Hr. Sec. School, Duncan, Dimapur under the theme “Nagaland for peace and harmony”.
Registration for both painting competition and poetry slam will be free. Eligibility criteria for painting competition is open for students from class 9 to 12. Participants have been instructed to bring their own colours, brushes, etc and canvas/paper size of 10X12 inches. Participants have been asked to report at the venue at 2:30 pm. 1st prize for painting competition will be Rs. 10,000, 2nd – Rs. 5,000 and 3rd – Rs. 3,000.
While for poetry slam, all college going under-graduate students, irrespective of tribe and community are eligible. Poem should be 14 lines (sonnet) and video should not exceed 3 minutes and no plagiarism will allowed. 1st prize for poetry slam will be Rs. 10,000, 2nd – Rs. 5,000 and 3rd – Rs. 3,000.
