Preparations underway for ‘Nagaland for peace and harmony concert’

Preparations for “Nagaland for peace and harmony concert”, a free concert for all age groups organised by Dimapur Ao Youth Organisation (DAYO) is underway.
President, DAYO, Tia Longchar, in a press conference held on Saturday, at Indisen, Dimapur mentioned that the concert would be held on August 6, 6:30 PM at DDSC stadium, Golaghat road, Dimapur. The concert is organised in commemoration of DAYO’s 10th year and in celebration of Tsungremmong festival.
Adhering to its motto “Unity and Justice”, the president said that DAYO not only stood for unity of the community alone, but fostered unity among all tribes and strived for justice in the society. Keeping all aspects together, DAYO has given the best not only for the interest of the Aos but for the citizens of Dimapur. In this time of transaction and anticipation for peace, DAYO believed that they will be a facilitator and mediator for peace, unity, and harmony.
In this regard, Longchar mentioned that the concert will be free of cost where all age groups are invited and that bookings for exclusive table reservation may be done at https://forms.gle/aGJXi9xVcRD2PCov9 with details and price all mentioned in the link provided. Once booking is confirmed, DAYO correspondence will get back to you for further assistance.
Various artists, bands, and dance crews such as Color Keys, DGP band, Samuel Konyak, Mahila band, Tiameren Aier, Vinika Yepthomi, Projection Crew and Kolkata based M-Sonic will be performing. Food and beverage stalls will also be set up by the 16 units of DAYO during the event.
In preparation of the event, DAYO together with Ao Student Union Dimapur will also be organising events such as on-spot painting competition under the theme “Nagaland for peace and harmony” on August 4, 3 PM at Cornerstone Higher Secondary School, Duncan, Dimapur for which registration is free and will be made open for students from classes 9 to 12. Interested students are requested to register before August 3.
Similarly, a poetry slam will be organised for all college going under graduate students. Registration will be free and submission of video and script along with details of participants to be sent at asud.org@gmail.com Poem should be 14 lines (sonnet), video should not exceed three minutes, and no plagiarism will be allowed.
