IMD predicts heavy rainfall in NE

India Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rainfall over North Eastern and Southern states during the next few days.
IMD predicted a shear zone in middle tropospheric levels likely to develop across extreme south Peninsular India from August 2. Isolated very heavy rainfall has been predicted over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, coastal Karnataka regions, Lakshadweep, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, Karaikkal, and Mahe over the week. Extremely heavy rainfall likely over Kerala and Mahe between August 2 and 4, IMD said.
