STRY on IPM at Lapa Lampong Village

Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Mon in collaboration with State Agricultural Management and Extension Training Institute (SAMETI) Nagaland, and National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE) Hyderabad conducted skill training for rural youth (STRY) programme on ‘integrated pest management (IPM) of crops’ at Lapa Lampong village, Tizit block from August 8 to 13.
In a press release, deputy project director (Dy. PD) ATMA Mon, N Subenthung Odyuo informed that resource persons ATM Dr. Nchumthung Murry, ATM Lizao Murry, and progressive tea farmer Yeangmao Konyak trained participants on various aspects of IPM focusing mainly on organic management.
Training covered a wide range covering concept, components and tools of IPM, benefits of adopting IPM for pest control and use of bio-pesticides, etc.
A field visit on ‘monitoring and scouting of pests’ and other activities were also carried out.
