RTO revises auto fares

In supersession of the earlier order and in the interest of public service, the Regional Transport Authority (RTO) Dimapur has revised the fares for autorickshaws within the Dimapur city with effect from September 1, 2017.
In an order, DC and RTO Dimapur chairman, Kesonyu Yhome, stated that autorickshaw fare for town trip was fixed at Rs.40. RTO has also fixed autorickshaw fares for different parking lot. 
Meanwhile, all autorickshaws have been directed to possess a copy of the new chart along with the vehicle documents for the convenience of the public. RTO has also informed the passengers/commuters to insist on the fare chart before paying the fare. Defaulters would be strictly dealt with as per MV Act, RTO said.
