Assam Rifles conduct various activities across Nagaland

Assam Rifles as part of its civic action programme has been conducting activities in various parts of Nagaland. 
5 AR lecture Zunheboto: 5 Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters IGAR (North) organized a lecture on wildlife conservation and Amur Falcon for the students of Assam Rifles School, Zunheboto on August 22. According to PRO IGAR (N) Kohima the lecture featured about the migratory bird called “Amur Falcon” and called upon all present to assist in the conservation of the bird in Nagaland.
7 AR Kiphire: 7 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) conducted free medical checkup for the students of Agape School, Kiphire on August 21, to provide free medical treatment to students of Agape school.  Medical team examined 200 students and distributed free medicines to the ailing students. 
15 AR DAN: 15 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (N) organized an awareness camp on drugs free Nagaland at Straightway Mission School, Dan on August 21. The aim of the camp was to give knowledge about narcotics, drugs, tobacco, its addiction and negative impact on physical and mental health. Altogether 55 students and teachers attended the event. 
7 AR interaction with GBs and local: 7 Assam Rifles (AR) under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) organised an interaction with GBs and local organisation heads in Anutongre, Akhegwo and Longmatre on August 23. 
The aim of the interaction programme was to spread awareness about civic assistance and job opportunities for the locals. 
The event witnessed a large attendance by GBs and youths of the region. At the end a pledge was taken to work together towards development and maintaining peace in the region. 
9 AR Khomi village: 9 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) organised a lecture on awareness about Amur Falcon at Chizami village on August 25. Importance of protection of Amur falcon was stressed during the programme. 
Meanwhile, 9 AR organised a free medical camp at Khomi Village. A team of medical staff under 2IC C Satyaranjan, CMO provided medical assistance and medicines to 206 people including 80 Males, 85 females and 41 children.  Apart from the medical assistance, a lecture was also delivered on HIV/ AIDS, and health education including precautions from common viral diseases. Importance of hygiene and sanitation was also explained to the villagers for healthy lifestyle.
15 AR Shamator: 15 Assam Rifles (AR) under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) organized a lecture on awareness about Amur Falcon at Govt Middle School, Shamator on August 25, at government middle school. 
It was also informed to the students that Nagaland is recognised as the Falcon capital of world, thus it was responsibility of everyone to preserve and protect the Amur Falcon.   
35 AR Naginimora: 35 Assam Rifles (AR) under the aegis of HQ IGAR (N) organised a lecture on wildlife conservation at Assam Rifles Public School, Naginimora on August 22. 
The event was organised to spread awareness on wildlife conservation amongst all. The lecture was attended by two officers, 45 students and five teachers.  Special emphasis was given on Amur Falcon to create awareness on the migratory bird amongst the children.
