Organisations condemn August 21 incident

Various organisations have condemned the threat meted out to secretary of Rural Development, Kelei Zeliang and family members by four miscreats on August 21.  
CH Peren: In a condemnation note by president, Chakhesang Hoho (CH) Peren district, Bedusayi Theslou and general secretary CH Peren district, Posayi Nienu appealed all the right thinking citizens to condemn such act and discourage such heinous acts and live a good Christian life for the prospect of our future generation.
VDBUPB: Village Development Board Union Peren Block (VDBUPB) in a condemnation note by president Ilamgong and secretary Iteibambe Hau stated that such act had no place in civilised society and the union also called upon all right thinking citizen to condemn such act in the strongest term. It further urged the authority to book the culprit at the earliest and give befitting punishment as per the provision of the law.
PDVDBA: Peren District Village Development Board Association (PDVDBA) in a condemnation by president PDVDBA, Kinkeriulung and general secretary PDVDBA, Izwalung stated that the PDVDBA was deeply disturbed by such anti-social elements targeting a person who indeed greatly deserved appreciation for his untiring and selfless services to the rural populace.  It further appealed upon the law enforcing agency to investigate, identify and book the culprit at the earliest possible and award befitting punishment as per the law of the land. 
Lamhai apex bodies: Apex bodies of four villages in a condemnation note by Lamhai Joint Council secretary, Suamdiyang and Lamhai Lui vice president, K. Adin expressed utmost concern condemns the action of four miscreants who had barged into the residence of Kelei Zeliang on August 21. It stated that threatening to kill a dedicated Naga officer in the capital city of Nagaland has tarnished the good image of our Christian culture. It further appealed to all law enforcing authority to book the culprit under the most stringent provision of the law.
MLC:  Mbaupunggwa Lui Council (MLC) Nagaland in a condemnation note by MLC chairman Asap Teilia and general secretary, Ikailung has stated that such act of “goondari” could not be tolerated in a civilized Christian society and has urged the law enforcing agency to book the culprit and award befitting punishment.
