Nagaland: G Kaito inaugurates Satakha Range Students’ Union library at Satakha

Satakha Range Students’ Union (SRSU) held an inaugural programme of its library-cum-inter school tournament at Satakha local ground on the theme “intensifying reading and
nurturing athletes” from August 25-26, with minister for Agriculture & Cooperation, G Kaito Aye as special guest.
In a press release, SRSU informed that after the unveiling of SRSU library, G Kaito Aye in his speech, encouraged the school proprietors under Satakha to extend their support and to take the initiative in organising a programme by relooking activities such as sports in the field of education.
He was of the view that this would help develop the competitive spirit among students and simultaneously gain good results, promoting an all-round development.
The minister also assured to provide the requirements as per his capabilities for upgradation of school infrastructures of Government Higher Secondary School Satakha.
Later, he declared the inter-school tournament open.
In his welcome address, SRSU president Angukavi Zhimo stressed on how education should be provided from a holistic perspective and that the people should instil in the minds of young people and adults, how to embrace the value of arts, sports, science and other aspects of education.
Delivering greetings, Jelitoli encouraged the students to broaden their horizons in the field of education and to bring about positive changes, and to live life by making themselves better.
Altogether, seven schools participated in the tournament, where Government Higher Secondary School was declared the overall champion and while the best discipline award was bagged by Evergreen School Satakha. The two-day programme concluded with a closing ceremony and a performance from various talents from each school.
