Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act (COTPA) flying squad along with representatives from National Tobacco Control Programme (NTCP), DBs and police conducted enforcement drive on August 31 in and around educational institutions. According to a DIPR report, COTPA flying squad led by team leader, officer in-charge Wokha police station seized tobacco products from shops falling within the restricted areas and penalized three defaulters. The seized tobacco products were destroyed on the same day in the presence of all the team members at the Wokha Police Station premises, informed DIPR.
