Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission (NSRLM) organised one-day outreach program for the potential Project Implementing Agencies (PIAs) of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY), the skill development and placement program of ministry of Rural Development on August 4 at Hotel Seb Tower Dimapur, Nagaland.
Keynote speaker, state mission director, NSRLM, Athel O Lotha shared that under DDU-GKY, the ministry of Rural Development has given a target of 6924 rural youths to be trained and given placement by the year 2020. Athel said that the program which was implemented through PPP model would give preference to local PIAs who fulfilled the ministry’s criteria.
North East scenario of DDU-GKY implementation was shared by North East Representative for DDU-GKY MoRD, Tenzing Choesang and COO (Skills), NSRLM, Menuoneituo Chadi shared the action plan of Nagaland as approved by the ministry. Technical session on PRN registration, various processes of proposal submission and appraisals was conducted by representatives of NABCONS from New Delhi and Guwahati.
The event was organised to bring PIAs and the project appraisal agency for DDU-GKY in Nagaland, NABCONS to assess level of preparedness for implementation of DDU-GKY.
