DPDB meetings held in Mkg, Tsg, Pughoboto, Longleng

Deputy Commissioner and chairman of the District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) Mokokchung, Sushil Kumar Patel launched a mission to inspire delivery of education in government schools in the district on August 7 during DPDB meeting. 
According to DIPR report, Patel said that education department in coordination with administrative officers would adopt at least one school, frequently visit the school and will have interaction with the teachers and students with an objective to motivate and create inspiration. DC therefore called upon the head of departments to actively participate in the support of the teachers and the students. 
The meeting also discussed the agenda on creation of EAC Hqs at Luyong and Longnak under ADC Mangkolemba and Pangsang under EAC Chuchuyimlang. Up-gradation of EAC to SDO (C) for Ongpangkong, Longchem and Chuchuyimlang were also deliberated and decided to forward to the government for necessary action. House strongly felt that creation of EAC HQs and upgradation of three EAC Hqs to that of SDC (C) were necessary for better administration and delivery of services and goods to the people.
The meeting also set up the constitution of implementing committee for LADP 2017 for all 10 assembly constituencies. Registration of People’s College Alumni Association Mokokchung, establishment of govt. primary school at Satsu village (Mangmetong), and grant-in-aid to Children Day’s School at Longsa village, and change of nomenclature for government primary school Sungkum, Mangmetong to Chubanungba government primary school, Mangmetong were approved and forwarded to the government for further action.  
TUENSANG: Tuensang district planning and development board meeting was held on August 7 at DC’s conference hall Tuensang, chaired by deputy commissioner & vice chairman Tuensang, L. Jamithung Lotha.
According to DIPR report, the executive engineer PWD R&B said that the repairing of town road between parade ground to circuit house Tuensang would start from August 7. Principal Sao Chang Government College also reported on the control of stray animals in the college campus. The agenda on site clearance for the construction of convention hall Tuensang was discussed where urban development officer reported on the formalities to be done for the site clearance. The proposal for the up gradation of Tulip Residential Academy from class 8 to 9 was also approved. Renewal of society registration of Hill Integration Development Agency and Peshu Students Union Noklak were also passed for the government’s approval. DC also highlighted on the work distribution for the coming Independence Day programme to all the departments. Agenda on quality of fuel and risk of the private fuel dealers’ outlets were also discussed. 
LONGLENG: The Longleng District Planning & Development Board meeting was held under the chairmanship of the deputy commissioner Y. Denngan Avennoho Phom  on August 7 at DC’s conference hall, Longleng.
According to DIPR report, emphasizing on the duties and responsibility of the officers, the DC said that every officer must discharge their duty with responsibility for the welfare of the people by being in their respective place of posting. Denngan also informed the members that problems of land encroachment have been reported and appealed to the officers to report such cases to the administration to be forwarded to higher authority for action. The DC also thanked the HoDs for contribution towards the renovation of the Changtongya Longleng road. 
ADC Tamlu highlighted on the poor infrastructure and absence of math teachers in GHS Tamlu. He asked the concern department to redress the issues for the welfare of the students. He suggested forwarding the grievances of the school to the authority concern through the DPDB for immediate action. 
The house approved the proposal for upgradation of St. Thomas School Tamlu from class VIII to X after highlighting the status of the school by the principal. 
Earlier, EAC Yongnyah and EAC Longleng reported their action taken for up-gradation of EAC Head Quarter Yongnyah to SDO Civil, and establishment of new EAC Head Quarter at Namching. The house also resolved to organize mass social work in the entire district including the sub-divisions for the ensuing Independence Day celebration 2017. 
PUGHOBOTO: In Pughoboto the DPDB meeting was chaired by vice chairperson and ADC, wherein she requested the officers to make themselves available for the meeting without fail. DIPR reported that house discussed about shortage of maths and science teachers in high school in the sub-division. A review of LADP activities was done, wherein chairperson thanked all departmental officers, forest range officer, Kihoto Wotsa and the forest department for generously contributing tree saplings for the tree plantation drive in the year 2016 and 2017.
