Singrep Village Students Union (SVSU) and Phelungre Village Students Union (PVSU) have sought clarification from Kiphire Tuensang Districts Sümi Students’ Union (KTDSSU) and Pungro Area College Students’ Union (PACSU) on the latter’s claim of anomalies in electoral roll under Kiphire district.
In a press note, SVSU president, Alumse Sangtam and PVSU president, Setsaba while extending support to the appeal made by KTDSSU and PACSU for rectification of electoral roll claiming anomalies in villages under Kiphire District and demanding linking Aadhar with electoral roll, have asked the unions whether any directive was issued from the Office of the Election Commission of India to link Aadhar with electoral roll. The student bodies maintained that it has been an endeavour of the SVSU and PVSU to ensure that electoral roll was well maintained, in this regard the unions have asked KTDSSU and PACSU to substantiate their allegations without any ulterior interest.
