Workshop on robotic at DBHSS Wokha

A national level championship program on robotics was organised by Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati in collaboration with TECHTRON Technologies on a zonal basis from July 13-14 at Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Wokha.
The workshop was coordinated by the zonal coordinator, Deepjyoti Das of DBHSS Wokha, in collaboration with Techniche, IIT Guwahati and Techtron ‘17. 
The resource person, Pankaj Kumar Singh, using power-point presentations and hands-on approach, dealt with various topics such as wireless robotics programme, different kinds of robots such as line-follower robots and remote-controlled robots, the current market scenario of robotics, sensors, motors, career scope of robotics in automation companies and many other latest updates. 
The two-day workshop contained both theoretical as well as practical sessions. 11 groups consisting of five students each participated along with the host school.  Four schools from the Zone, namely Bethel High School Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Perennial Montessori School and Fernbrook School were selected to participate in the grand finale at IIT – Guwahati. Certificates of participation and meritorious certificates were given by the DBHSS Wokha, principal, Rev. Fr Joseph TT in the valedictory function.
