Dimapur Naga Youth Front (DNYF) during an emergency meeting on Saturday resolved to function as an independent body. DNYF, which was formed during the widespread protest against holding of ULB polls with women reservation, maintained that they will not take part in any activities that were political but work purely for the welfare of the youth.
DNYF media cell informed Nagaland Post that “DNYF is a non-political organization and would not involve in any issue related to politics.” Further, DNYF has also elected Shiyeto as its sessional convener. The front has also resolved that until the fully fledged office bearers were elected, DNYF would function under the sessional officials.
DNYF has also cautioned its members not to take part in any meetings/engagements called by various organizations without the authorization of its sessional officials.
