CTYO conducts surprise checking

Chümoukedima Town Youth Organisation (CTYO) on September 20 conducted a surprise checking and recovered “huge quantity” of expired goods from the shops at Chümoukedima Town.
In a press release, CTYO said the checking was conducted based on “numerous complaints” received from residents following which “huge quantity of expired food items, dairy products, household items etc.” were seized and defaulters penalised.
Further, CTYO said it would continue to conduct such checking in future and urges all concerned shopkeepers to make sure their inventory was clear of expired goods at all times.
