Ao Senden has strongly condemned the abduction of one Ramakanth Giri, senior supervisor and engineer of Nitin Sai Construction Company (NSCC) engaged in the construction of Changtongya-Longleng road, on September 21, 2022, allegedly by Yung Aung-led NSCN (K).
In a press release, Ao Senden president Chubawàti Longchar and general secretary Imtipokyim demanded safe and sound return of the abductee.
Ao Senden affirmed to “seriously view and stand with the demand” taken by Langpangkong Tsukong Mungdang (LTM) and the Langpangkong Tsukong road co-ordination committee. On September 21, LTM while condemning the abduction had demanded “unconditional” release of Giri within 24 hours.
