Phom People’s Council has deeply mourned the sad demise of ex-MLA and advisor of PPC, late Oditenba Phom. PPC in a condolence message described late Oditenba as a tall leader of Phom and a great human being who had dedicated his whole life for the welfare of the people. PPC said his contribution and sacrifice to the people of Phom would always be cherished and remembered by the Phom people and that his death is a great loss for the Phom community in particular and Nagas in general. PPC has also extended condolences to the bereaved family and prayed to almighty to grant them solace and strength at this time of grief and sorrow and prayed that the departed leader’s soul rest in peace.
NNC (parent body): Naga National Council (parent body) has expressed heartfelt grief and sorrow at the sudden demised of Eshithung Ennio, senior advisor of NNC on July 15 at his native village.  NNC information & publicity wing in a condolence note said late Eshithung was one the longest serving Lotha regional council president and advisor NNC with a firm stand on Naga freedom of sovereignty. NNC described him a prayer warrior who always prayed to God for the Naga freedom and in particular his colleagues and national workers. NNC stated that it has lost a veteran national worker and that the government would remember his noble deeds for Naga people and Nation. NNC for prayed the departed soul rest in heavenly peace.
