Nagaland Building & other construction workers, welfare board (NBOCWWB) conducted an “Awareness & Field Registration” at the Grace Garden, Alempang ward, with minister of PWD (Housing & Mechanical), Tongpang Ozüküm, here, on Monday.
Exhorting the beneficiaries, Tongpang lauded NBOCWW board for conducting such a “special registration drive” at Angetyongpang constituency.
He stated that such awareness campaigns have opened the eyes of many workers who had been unaware of the benefits of schemes that could be availed. He also disclosed that there was consideration to accommodate females in the future.
Tongpang highlighted that each beneficiary received Rs. 2000 upon immediate registration and that two siblings of the beneficiary would receive Rs. 500 monthly, as educational monetary assistance (Children Educational Allowance).
NBOCWWB CEO, T. Chubayanger who chaired the programme also informed that the board was planning to authenticate the beneficiaries through Aadhar to strike out bogus beneficiaries.
Earlier, a short speech was delivered by NBOCWWB chairman, Dr. Kekhrie Yhome and welcome note was delivered by Alempang ward chairman Limasashi.
Later, vote of thanks was proposed by Longmisa village council chairman Merensosang Jamir and invocation was offered by ABC pastor, Rev. Dr. Temsu S.
