SET NU Dimapur observes 15th Fresher’s Day

Wamba Walling from CSE department and Sentirenla Ao from AET department were crowned Mr and Miss Fresher’s 2022 of School of Engineering and Technology (SET), Nagaland University, Dimapur during its 15th Fresher’s Day on September 24 at IMC Hall under the theme “Carpe Diem”.
Speaking on the occasion, special guest, deputy commissioner of police Chumoukedima, Munesh, reminded the students to cherish, value and enjoy every moment of life. She encouraged the students to use time judiciously and to study with full dedication and a with a strong determination.
She also advised the students to focus on education as it is the most important factor.
Dean NU-SET, professor V.K. Vidyarthi, exhorted the students and encouraged them to be focused and to use the knowledge they gain as an engineer to convert their knowledge of basic science into a product with the aim of making things work efficiently and effectively with principle of science, mathematics and research.
He further encouraged the freshers to be a good engineer as, “Engineers are the backbone of Nation.”
