With reports of inflating prices of essential commodities and undue inconvenience being faced by common people due to bridge collapse at 4th Mile near Referral Hospital, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dimapur, Kesonyu Yhome, on Saturday notified that to address the issues some arrangements were being put in place with effect from July 17, 2017 in public interest.

In a public notice, DC Dimapur informed that NST Bus service would provide shuttle services for public on both sides on a daily basis at the rate of Rs.20 per head per trip at the following timings and pick-up/dropping points (see table).
DC also disclosed that a suspension bridge for pedestrians would be set up over the Chathe river at the earliest
Further, DC reiterated that heavy vehicles would be restricted on the Patkai-Seithekie-Niuland route except passenger busses.
