BJP Legislature Party leader and minister Transport and IT&C P. Paiwang Konyak has strongly refuted the news reports that BJP was responsible for the political crisis in Nagaland. In a press release, Paiwang categorically asserted that the state BJP and the MLAs from day one maintained neutrality. He also affirmed that BJP’s alliance with NPF would remain intact. He also made known that the party has neither sided any of the group (Kaziranga or Kohima) since it was an internal party matter. Paiwang has appealed to the public not to be confused and misled by such false news and also requested media houses not to propagate any news without confirmation. It may be noted that a NE based news channel had broadcasted that three BJP legislators– P. Paiwang Konyak, Dr. T.M. Lotha and Imtilemba were camping in Kaziranga.
