Excise (Mobile Squad) special surveillance team on July 12 conducted raid at 7th Mile area Dimapur and seized 3048 bottles of IMFL. One person identified as Jalit has also been arrested during the raid, SP (MS) Katoho Sumi said in a press statement. The arrested person has been booked under relevant section of NLTP Act ’89 and the seizure deposited at MS unit malkhana for destruction, Katoho said. He said that the despite, lack of men power and facility, the MS unit has been putting untiring efforts to control flow of liquors in the district. Further, Khatoho said that to make the state liquor free zone, the law enforcing agency needed the cooperation of the masses so that prohibition would be a success.
