Excise, Narcotic Cell (NC) Dimapur has informed that in the month of June 2017, the cell has registered a total of 71 offence reports for violations under various Acts. Superintendent of Excise (NC) Dimapur, S. Phyobemo Kikon has informed that under the Nagaland liquor total prohibition Act 1989, 68 offence cases were registered and compounded departmentally. He disclosed that under NDPS Act 1985 and Drugs & Cosmetics Act 1940, 3200 tablets of Amphetamine drugs, 270 kgs of contraband ganja, 7920 capsules of Spasmoproxyvon and 700 gms of Opium were seized. In this connection, three cases were registered and the arrested persons were forwarded to the judiciary, Kokon informed.
