Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Nagaland state unit team led by BJP organising secretary for the state, Ananda Narayan Mishra is touring Mokokchung district. The team on Wednesday 27 Mokokchung Town AC and held a programme at Aongza Ward. Welcoming the team, the mandal president, Tiakumzuk expressed joy that the dreams and aspiration of the electorates of the constituency were finally coming true in the form of BJP. He claimed 27 Mokokchung Town AC as the most neglected constituency in the state as “no traces of the various promises made by the MLAs elected from the constituency can be found”. BJP Nagaland state unit, vice president, Er. Sengathung Jami, reiterated that BJP was not against any party or religion, rather it was one party which has its primary focus on the holistic development of the nation starting from the grassroots.
Dr. Temsuwati, who is intending to contest from the constituency, also addressed the gathering. In a keynote address, Ananda Narayan Mishra while deliberating on the 10-point program of the party and stressed that BJP was intolerant towards indiscipline even within the party set-up. He assured the gathering that some arrests of government officials on corruption charges in Nagaland would be made soon and that would just be the beginning of the Party’s initiative to rid Nagaland of corruptions. Mishra blamed the Congress Party of spreading anti-BJP propaganda in the state and reiterated that BJP was not against any religion or minority group. He also expressed his confidence that the party would come to power in that state by all means. BJP Mokokchung Unit, president, L. Temsu Jamir and State BJP executive member, Limawati also addressed the gathering.
