Landslide, flood hit normal life

Incessant rains last over the week triggered landslide and flood at various areas. According to DIPR report, continuous rain over the weeks, have caused major sinking of land at Alogh colony, C Khel, Tuensang village, where 21 houses were affected and four needed evacuation. DC Tuensang, Jamithung Lotha visited the spot and surveyed the damages. Meanwhile, incessant rains cause overflow on Zubza river and the flood affected Yiveto village under Niuland under sub-division situated on the banks of Zubza river on Tuesday. The village remains inundated as the approach road cut-off by the flood. The affected villagers were taking shelter in houses on elevated areas as the deluge has rendered many homeless at least temporarily. However, there has been no report of human causality. Several hectares of crop area were affected, some livestock were swept away and some temporary structures swept away.
